DETECTIVE DEE was entertaining though I was hoping it was going to beat my expectations - I was hoping for a reasonable deconstruction of the fantastic. Which DEE tries to be but much of it is a bit hard to swallow (even without considering that people can practically fly). The prevalence of CG both helps and hurts DEE's case - without it the film wouldn't feel epic but often the CG doesn't blend very well. http://youtu.be/ZeMLCCws5m8
